The Waves

The Waves

A Poem by brae

I had a vision

It was the love I had always longed for

It waited for me to grow up

It bided it’s time

It was patient and soft

He waited and prayed

For light and honesty

Truth and happiness

An end to his torture

Life had been hard on him

A realization of my vision

An answer to his prayer

Was found in one another

And we threw ourselves in

Without looking back or thinking twice

But our life was Shakespearean

Tragedy hit hard

One crisis after another

And we held on to each other

Life vests, tossing in the waves
