Dream

Dream

A Poem by B.S. Hartman
"

This is just a simple poem about loved ones and how our hearts keep them near after they're gone

"

I had a dream last night,

That didn’t exactly give me a fright,

And kind of filled me with delight,

All I really know was that it was full of life.

My Grandma was back, all sunny and bright,

She was telling me about the pride they felt when I write,

And that someday it may change the world, she said it might,

That’s when my heart said “I hope she’s right”.

Then like dreams do, it jumped around,

And there was my Dad looking so very proud,

Making me feel that love again, so strong and sound,

As Mom hollered out that they were Heaven Bound.

With it came my own eventuality,

As my dream faded back to reality,

Taking pride in my ability,

To write what I have inside of me.

One day I’ll appear in someone’s dream,

Maybe all or maybe just a part of me,

And when I do, I hope I can make them see,

That hopes and dreams can be achieved,

As long they become all that God meant them to be.

B.S. Hartman
The poem is just that a poem, it does not have any formula-except for maybe the original one of rhyming, so don't complicate it when you read it.
