Searching

Searching

A Poem by Screaming Soul

SEARCHING

It’s all about the turn.

Holding it in the groove.

The balance and the dance

Of motion and mass.

The timber basin twisted

By the spin of the lathe.

It’s all about the rotation

Of the clay on the wheel

That fashions the vessel

By the hold and release.

It’s all about the gyration

Of the dancer and her partner

That makes the wave.

There is nothing without the spin

Of Vinyl under the needle

Creating the sounds of the tune.

The evolution by turning and shaping

Is the search for the creator’s design.

The raw becomes refined

While the still becomes stagnate.

Thank God I’m searching for my maker’s heart.

I want to be turning around the turmoil

To be shaped and molded

Not by force but by the balance and the dance.
