Sadness of Irony

Sadness of Irony

A Poem by BoundbyInk

Here is the sadness of irony,

crying in a rain storm

because you used to love them.

A song about hate that I can’t help but love

I hear on the radio and can’t stop myself from singing along

because it makes me think of you every time.

“love poems” I wrote for you

that now I can’t stand to read for the same reason

Even though written for a cold heart, those poems now keep me warm,

one by one I toss them into the fire.
