Picture PerfectA Poem by BoundbyInkHere I am behind a lense. A one way mirror, invisible. Just a click away from stealing this moment. Keeping it forever, making it mine.
These aren't my moments to have, they belong to the old intoxicated man sitting on the iron bench in the olive sweater that his grandchilden bought him for christmas
They belong to the father and his little boy. They don't have much time left. Soon there will be fast cars and beautiful women and a sad father who could use this memory.
This could be a holiday greeting card that makes their families smile A last memory the old man's grandchildren will have when he has pasted away A time machine for a father and son who don't spend enough time together All they want is a moment that made them whole.
These are now my memories, my reminders to have. Crying with his grandchildren at the funeral Greiving the loss of a son who went to college I'll hold them by my heart and hope for the best.
