Mutiny

Mutiny

A Poem by born4worship

Entangled by a mutiny of emotions
Pride turns on humility
as compassion wars with hate

Separated from reality
My delusional mind retreats
Surrendering to the pains of my heart

My Soul numb to feelings
strives simply to maintain
In my comatose existence
I passively proceed to breathe

Slowly dreams subside
bruised by bitter insult
Faith gives way to doubt
As hope crumbles beneath failure

Very sad. But there is hope, for the soul is determined to survive, regardless of the pain to the rest of the body. Not until the soul surrenders is all hope lost.
