Day Three

Day three:
Thursday, June 21st

I have practice but I am not going. Instead I am meeting with a social worker and hospice. I decided it would be best for my grandpa to be taken to a hospice house where he will be made comfortable. It’s a bit of a drive but it’s nice there and I know he would rather be in a house setting than in a hospital room. He is being moved there tomorrow afternoon.

I can't sleep, I cant eat, and i have no more tears to cry.

A change in atompshere will put everyone in a better mood. The hospital sometimes is filled with too much sorrow and often it helps when the one sick is able to see something other than the sick and dying to constantly remind them of what they are going through. Keep your head up.

Typical transition from shock to a practical grief. A stage where one feels the long term effects, but feels empty inside. This book is excellent in portraying the reality of such feelings and events.

I've been through hard times in my life and I know this is, how it feels, when you are helpless and you don't want to let go and surrender yourself to the nothingness.
