its simple to see

that this 'love' you have for me

is nothing but a lie

its tormenting me everyday

yet i try to avoid

to shed tears over useless things

I love the last line, it almost gives the whole thing a twist. I think it's good how you put love in apostrophes. It gives it a different meaning in context.

this reminds me of the end of one of my relationships.we said we loved each other, it turned into a lie we didn't want to believe.

Unrequited love. Sometimes it's best to be the first to say it out loud.... some people stay in relationships not loving the other person but waits patiently, because they fear that their decision will hurt the other.

It's nice though to see this from the other point of view. Knowing that the one you are with does not love you and still waits to hear him/her say it.
