Just a simple leafA Poem by CassandraThis is a poem I wrote for L.A. and I was just hoping I could get some feed back. I had to write a poem about an item that makes me think of fall. I had to write in first person. Please review me. Just A Simple Leaf I
am just a simple leaf. Whipping and whirling though the crisp
November air I
will become a piece of Earth’s homemade carpet I
will break out of my shell Show my true colors I
will be myself I
am just a simple leaf I am like a bird
soaring though the air I
no longer blend with everyone else We
all look different in our own way I
am just a simple leaf The
snow of fall I
am a leaf a cloud floating in the air I
will gently fall to the ground The
wind will push me away Now
I may soar I
am just a simple leaf I
now am going my own way In
the November air I
like it best like this I
am different I
am unique I
am not just a simple leaf I
no longer blend I
no longer am the same green I
can be what I want to be I
am not just a simple leaf I
will change I
will be myself I
am not a simple leaf I
am not like any other leaf I
am a different leaf I
am a unique leaf © 2011 CassandraAuthor's Note
