Chapter 2~ Not A Dream.

Chapter 2~ Not A Dream.

A Chapter by Destiny Crawford

I fell asleep in the angel's rock hard, marble-like arms. I was sound-asleep until I felt that I was on a motorcycle. I felt a shudder creep down my spinal cord. I'm deeply afraid of motorcycles. Motorcycles, to me, are like a clowns to a person who is truely horrified of red-nosed, white-faced clowns.

A lump was forming in my throat. I pushed it down, fearing the motorcycle would start before I could scream. I got a huge gulp of air and tried to force it out as a scream. Then, unfortunatly, I descovered my mouth was too dry to scream.

I had to think fast. So fast that my thoughts would be quicker than lightning. So, I thought of the most tempting food of all. My favorite McDonalds cheeseburger with bacon. Instantly, my mouth became a watering hole.

I took in another huge gulp of air. Forcing it as far back into my throat as possible.

"GET ME OFF OF THIS THING!" I shouted as loud as I could. I, on-purposely, pointed my head in a different direction than the angel. I didn't want him to think I was yelling directly at him.

I leaped off the motorcycle, landing about two feet away from it. Pebbles flying out from beneath my feet when I landed.

"What are you doing?" His eyes were wide with curiosity. He cut the engine and swung his leg over the bike to get off. I crossed my arms. What was I soposed to say? That I afraid of motorcycles. That sounded stupid. I ralized my mouth was open so I snapped it shut.

"I'm deeply and truely afraid of motorcycles." Guess there is no point in lying to an angel. He would eventually find out anyway.

He walked slowly over to me. His movement, perfectly graceful. His muscles, not explainable. He stopped just a few inches from my body. My face just centimeters from his. He traced my cheekbone with his thumb. "Can you trust me?" He said with sincerity. His voice soft and natural.

"Absolutely. Angels are pure hearted, right?" He chuckled, for a reason I did not know. His eyes were a liquid jade. Beutiful. I smiled innocently.

"If you can trust me, please go sit back down on my bike. It's the only way I can get you to your house." He sounded pleading. My eyes locked with his. For a second I thought I was dreaming. But this is too real, too amazing, to be just a dream.
