Desert Springs

Desert Springs

A Poem by Renée

 Bubbling up
from the desert sand
she
trickled down into a pond
writing his name within each ripple
that
  whispered to the moon
as it touched the shore

He sat down to listen
as the siren sang

tempted
his hands dipped in to taste
and He smiled
for her existence of love
 ran down his throat
like warm honey
on a cold day ...
