Silence in D Minor

Silence in D Minor

A Poem by Acropolix
"

What you are to me, I'll never be.

"
I'll compose a ballad of silence;
in D minor the sound of nothing
rings out loud for two long minutes;
clear in tone, pure in meaning,
and blank lyrics will be voiced;

I'll frame an empty painting;
colours spread by the brush
dipped in the pigments of air;
shades illuminate in darkness,
and the light will hide all;

I'll become a true nothing;
the air that suffocates I inhale
in greedy gasps of waste;
yet in this quiet and hollow image
I'm more than you can ever be;

Silence. I don't have words for this work. I love how you capture things even beyond the scope of the minutiae. We have to look beyond existence to understand works like this.
