Different

Different

A Poem by Acropolix
"

Does it make any difference?

"

How can good prevail if no evil soul remains.

Where would light go without shadow's gate

Why condemn Satan and burn away salvation.

For God fills our hearts through the Devil's tale.

For each force unleashed to the land of nature

Exists through the balance of opposing power.

We all have friends and enemies alike.

We all have our strengths and weaknesses too.

We all are different and that is really good.

Were we to be equal, in all manner alike.

Then, lord be with me, I would end my life.

It's interesting.
I'm not one for this sort of rhyme scheme and beat, but it held my attention.
Curious: do you take a lot of your inspiration from religion?
I've been reading your writing and I've noticed theres a lot of symbolism.
If im completely off the mark, i apoligize. the copious amounts of coffee must be finally getting to me.

It makes loving, forgiving easier and somehow you lose your ability to hate or judge. And I personally am so fascinated by dark stuff...

I'm not usually one for poetry, (stories are more my style) but I like your take on balance in this.
