The Quiet Girl in the Corner

The Quiet Girl in the Corner

A Poem by bookworm642

Shuffling feet
walk down the street,
but no one sees her
the quiet girl in the corner

they look away
they frown with distaste
no one wants to see her
the quiet girl in the corner

She hides under a hood
she says not a word
no one tries to see her
the quiet girl in the corner

oblivious to her silent plea
they miss the pain that her eyes scream
no one has time to see her
the quiet girl in the corner

shuffling feet
still walk down the street
but shes no longer there
the quiet girl in the corner

The loneliness is felt as you read down but I believe in order to overcome such an ordeal, we have to move on and change; love ourselves before caring about what anyone else thinks.

Great piece.

It hard to be alone and feel distance from all things. This poem create a sadness and loneliness. The description took me to a lonely soul which are many needing a smile and a friend. Thank you for a excellent poem.
