All In Good Time

All In Good Time

A Poem by thegirlthatwrites

Maybe we should start
Taking lessons from the clock
And the hands that chase each other
Throughout every day and night
Eager for that one moment
When they can finally touch

Through all the ticks and tocks
The chimes that shake them to the core
They stay fast and they stay strong
For wherever one hand goes
The other is never far behind
Knowing it will get there
All in good time

Awesome! Very good idea for a poem, I really enjoyed reading this. Its could be a good metaphor like for love or marriage or something. Great job. It takes a great writer to notice something so abstract such as a clock and personify it to make it seem like the hands are chasing each other. Kind of ironic how the hands will meet in "good time" when its a clock, which is what tells time. Ahh keep it up!
