Empty Dock

Empty Dock

A Poem by Lissianna
"

Some of my old stuff I found recently

"

Blank stare

Wonder who's really there

Tears in her eyes

Pouring down like time

Quiet as a mime

Could hear the drop of a dime

Thinking about

Who could see her now

She would check the time

But her tears washed out the clock

So she's standing there

On the empty dock

Her tears trickling away

Like the once working clock

Nobody to stop by

So no chance to say good bye

She fades away

Like the time did on the clock

Where she once stood on an empty dock

This is really sad. Her life appears to be a mess and the only way to get by seems to be selling herself. (or am I wrong)?

This is compelling to read but sad too.
