The Melodious Danger

The Melodious Danger

A Poem by StolenSaphireWitch
"

Sitting in my doorway, watching the storm

"
The sighs of the limbs as the wind blows through the trees is a comforting sound. The splashes is the rain hits the things around me, a stark yet pleasant contrast. The site of the sideways grey film that feels the sky makes me feel as though, while dreary, this moment is beautiful and peaceful. The harmonious cacophony, dull yet thundering, is so sweet to my ears, that I unknowingly smile. Thoughts of worry and concern slip my mind's grasp as the chilling gentle breeze rushes past me. Time flies by as I sit in the doorway as the despairing yet hopeful scene in front of me unfolds, giving me thoughts of pleasant memories past. Watching the swaying of the branches as they curve and bend is a site so lovely, my breath is lost as the storm about me fades away, the only reminder it was here being the scattered painting of leaves, a beautiful freezing chill in the air.
