Numa

A Poem by ale
"

translated from spanish. my response to the film "society of the snow"

"
As the heat leaves my cheeks,
As my tired eyes close and can't open,
I notice as I sit here--
In the cold wind and with an infected foot--
That human strength,
The laws of the mountain,
The sign of life on this seatbelt bed,
Sweet brotherhood in ice with light sun rays,
And my imminent skeletal death
Guarantees your life beyond my short future.
Although I won't see your games again,
Although I won't cry with you again,
It gives me peace that with my death I will give new life
And I will help you leave this place.
It gives me much joy
Because I know your suffering.
I give you my word to spread the laws of the mountain without me.
