Muted Colours

Muted Colours

A Poem by Bonnie

I've began to consider the possibility that i'm colourblind, because all i see are muted shades of grey.
My favourite, once bright fruit- now dull
its not just my vision that has became this way, my whole life has
I cant see what colour our label is,
If its truly bright green
or is it brick red?
I can't see if we are mere friends- or something more, for each signal you send me is a muted colour
I cant see which is verified green
or stoplight red
the colours now impossible to decipher
I have to pick blindly, because i cant see which one to choose
