Seeing isn't Caring

Seeing isn't Caring

A Poem by Bonnie

Did you notice?

When I slept for hours each day, and stayed up at night silently sobbing into my pillow?

Did you notice?

My hair thinning, as my bones became more visible?

Did you notice?

My short sleeves became long, with claims of being cold while sweating through my layers?

No.

But you would notice if my body was lying limp on the tiles,

Because that’s when it ‘affected’ you,

And that’s when you ‘cared’.
