Too much to ask?

Too much to ask?

A Poem by Bonnie

All I wanted was to be perfect.

Was that too much to ask?

Small waist,

Tiny arms,

A beautiful smile.

But now, leaning over the porcelain bowl, that smile rotted with the smell of putrid acid.

Sitting on the cold tile floor.

The little life I had left, slipping away, fading out of my bright blue eyes.

My hair thinning, falling out

My bones bulging, hard to miss.

Falling down,

Out of breath.

Out of energy.

Out of life.

I just wanted to be perfect, was that too much to ask?

Gee
To be loved for what we are by those that we hold dear should be enough for any of us, seldom is though :)

Thank you for taking time to review my work, your words mean alot, thankyou
Nothing is perfect Bonnie. There is great beauty in the uniqueness of imperfections. This situation in the poem is tough, it needs attention. Hope it is available and you learn to love yourself and be happy.
