Why?

Why?

A Poem by Allison
"

For my friend Zaria, who's always "crying" when I text her. I'm so sick of hearing about her misfortune, when she's got a really great life. She has like everything she wants.

"
"Hey"
"Hey"
"Wats Up?"
"Crying."
I can't think of anything to say.
Did I do this to you?
Is this why you don't talk to me anymore?
What's wrong with you?
"O"
"Yeah."
"Wats wrong?"
"Lonely, Sad."
"O."
You have so many people that love you.
That worship you.
But it's not enough.
You only care about Brandon.
The one person who doesn't care about you.
Telling Arnold not to talk to me,
Because your afraid he might flirt,
When you've got everyone wrapped around your finger.
God, that really hurt.
I'm sitting here, wondering what's wrong with you.
Wondering if it's my fault.
I liked Sage, from the time I got there.
I couldn't take my eyes off of him.
But you stole him right from my hands.
Before I could even try.
You knew I liked him.
But you took him anyways.
You hugged him,
Kissed him,
Right in front of my eyes.
You told him one day, "You'll Always Be Mine."
That's what hurt the most.
Knowing,
That you knew exactly how I felt about him.
Knowing that we've been through this,
I just have one question.
And That Is,
WHY?

Indeed, these thing happen in life. More often than we wish to, so we must learn to deal with it. First, it is a good idea not to let people know that you are sensitive, for they will always hit on this perceived weak side of your personality. It does not mean, indeed, that you should be insensitive: only choose the time and person you are showing your wonderful side to. With time, people will then learn to appreciate it and if not, you will have enough courage to distance yourself with uncaring characters without having to ask “why?’!!

Wow. That was intense. I would distance myself from such people. Too much drama.

Ah... Well, to begin with this is very well written. It conveys your thoughts well. Some people just kind of "need" to be the victim... They need to always have something wrong with them so they feel better (weird, isn't it?). Same with the boyfriend issue. Have you ever heard the song "Shine" by Anna Nalick? It reminds me a lot of your poem and your explanation of your friend. You should look it up.

My friend acts like she needs every guy's eyes on her. But I talk to her about it, and how she needs to lower her flirting sometimes. She still flirts a lot though. It should push her off a building, and teach her a lesson someday. Your friend, too.
