My love....

I've been in love with my friend Tristan for a year now. I just can't tell him. This poem is for him.

I love you.

You are what makes me get up every day.

You are my purpose.

I know that this is silly, that we may find others,

But from this day forward,

I will always love you.

I love the way your hair changes colors according to the year.

I love how your nose crinkles when you laugh.

I love everything about you.

You are my pride and joy,

The reason I still breathe.

I know that this is hard to believe,

But I love you more than my own life.

It pains me that we cannot be together,

for whatever reason that may be.

My love, my life, my soul,

I will wait for you, however long that will take.

Because, when we are together,

there is no right and wrong.

WHen we are together, my brain cannot function.

Butterflies clutter my stomach.

My eyes cloud.

The world is invisible.

I love the way you make me feel.

Your hugs take away my breath.

Your advice takes me by surprise.

If we could have one whole day together,

I hope it's before my demise.

If I died on that perfect day, I would be the happiest soul on Earth.

My love, if I could, I would give you the brightest star,

A slice of the moon.

The Earth would be yours to keep.

I feel that you are my true love.

It's so undeniably right.

If I could have that perfect day, I know you'd hold me tight.

He has a gf already, which makes my heart break. But I'll just have to keep myself preoccupied.
