Chapter 2

Claire passed out. Hours later, she came to in the enormous cove. The tide must have dragged her in. It wasn't dark yet, but her husband, RIchard was probably wondering where she and Vanessa had gone. cold stone floor. checked to see if the child in her arms was Vanessa. Claire ran into the house, and right into Richard. "Honey, where's Vanessa? Claire, what happened?"

"Vanessa was angry with me, so she ran off to the edge of the cliff, and fell in. I jumped in, hit my head on a rock, and came to in the cove."

"I have to go and get a search group to look for her." With a kiss, Richard drove to town. He was so calm. He'd always called Vanessa the second love of his life, and he acted as if Claire had just told him dinner was ready. What was going on?
