CareA Poem by AllisonDoes anyone care?Does Anyone Care? I speak of the horror of not having anyone who cares. Imagine having friends who loved and cared about you. Until you learn that they don't care about you. Not your well being, not yourself, No, they care only for the things you can do for them. Even if you have shared special experiences, They only care for the things you can do, and not about you. Because I'm the quiet one, Must I be shunned? 2 People certainly think of me in that way. I'm simply the one who pays for everything. The private whispers of careful, little, best friends, In their careful, little, worlds, Then you, cold and alone. No whispers to share, No smiles to exchange. No hugs to be given. My insides have become a barren wasteland, With a cold heart inside, A heart that was once warm and joyful, But is now protected by ice. I will never love, or be loved, by another person, ever again.
