Daddy

Daddy

A Poem by Allison
"

My friend had family issues and she asked me to write for her.

"

You said were my friend.

You said we were just alike.

You let me have whatever was in my sight.

But you were hurting her,

Killing her inside.

I didn't care,

Until the day that you hit.

That was the day our family hit the end.

The men in blue took you away.

I saw you in the car as they drove down the lane.

Life's getting harder,

Some bills go unpaid.

Our phone might go off,

And the doors are locked during the day.
