Hopes

Hopes

A Poem by K.

I hope you get everything you deserve, the good and the bad.

I hope you take chances and meet your soulmate in a crazy way, maybe 'cause you both bought chocolate covered bananas, or 'cause you accidentally walked into the wrong restroom.

I hope you get to do all the things you wanted to do and accomplish all that you can.

I hope that you never get held back by what someone thinks and I hope you love everything with all your heart.

I hope you get heartbroken when you love the wrong person and when that happens, don't get cautious, learn from it and love again.

I hope you only do things that make you happy, and know when to walk away when something isn't benefitting you.

I hope you live a life that suits you and I hope you leave this world without any regrets.

I hope you feel pain and love and sadness and joy and are exhausted by it all, but realize that all those emotions and that exhaustion are all proof that you are living and have lived well.

Author's Note

K.
I wrote this last night and I kind of liked it. I don't know how well I feel about it now, so it might not be up here for a long time. It would be great if y'all could also check out my last couple of uploads, because they haven't had any comments, and I would love some thoughts! Thank y'all, as always, for reading and reviewing.

In football, there is that old cliché about "Leaving it all on the field."
Very few of us will ever walk across a chalk line on a beautifully manicured field of hybrid Bermuda grass, but we will be deft afoot in that obstacle course called "Life."
When we leave this world, when the very essence of our love is exhaled on our last breath, wouldn't it be wonderful to know that your one true love was there to inhale it in its fullest, and to hold it deep within their hearts until that day when you shall be joined again?
Leave no "I love you" left unsaid.
Leave no touch left unfelt.
Leave no smile left un-smiled.
Leave no questions left unanswered, and...

...Leave no love left unmade.

Leave it ALL on the field.

"I hope you live a life that suits you and I hope you leave this world without any regrets. " - this is all that matters in the end. In reality it's very difficult to leave this place without regrets.. But then again we should try. . Right? ..

I loved the child like innocence and honesty in this one. . Reminded me of someone. .
I hope you too get what you want. . A really good write :)

Yes, you at least have to try! Thanks for reading and reviewing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I think this is the best wish you could wish someone. It's not good to only get the good things in life.

No problem at all!
A closed book can't be read or can we learn it.
"I hope you feel pain and love and sadness and joy and are exhausted by it all, but realize that all those emotions and that exhaustion are all proof that you are living and have lived well."
The above statement is true. You must know laughter and tear to had a real life. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
