I stared at you, my chin rested on my hand, a soft smile set on my face; you stared back. This was a weird time, and even though we both knew it, we never addressed it. We addressed the laughs and the kisses, the tears and the fights, the late and cloudy nights on the road, the dusty motel rooms always on the beach, just the way you liked. You dropped your eyes and looked up upon the stars. "Why does it have to be like this?" You closed your eyes, slamming your fist into the ground slowly, repeatedly. "That's not what this is about, not us. We are the present and the past, not the future; we aren't supposed to be, no one is." I said. I put my head back down on the sandy pillow and readjusted my body closer to yours. "Maybe I just want to know-" "We can't, it's physically impossible, unless you can travel through time...." I looked at you sideways just as your half smile crept onto your lips. "You know what I mean, I just don't want to, you know," your voice faded. "Be forgotten, yeah I know." I said. I stared back up at the stars and connected the dots, making the constellations I knew. "Maybe that's how it was supposed to be, though." "Yeah, I guess."
Reminds me another one of your writes where I had read the such things about past, present and future.. very phenomenal job! It's seemed, the lovers got met via time-distances.. through time-travel & wished to lived the whole life together but the time's not seemed to be their slave, it works the way it needs to and it passes out from everyone's life. They wish to live moments together for long but time ain't let this happen so in the end, they only get lost into their labyrinths to find the way to make a way of living together. Your story always leaves me with many thoughts which belong to your storyarcs but in a very different way. Your thoughts/visions are meandered through the valley of your possessive heart & your spirit gently let 'em leap down in words from your soften heartbeats! Liked the structuring of your story either, seemed.. I was reading a novella. Quite intriguing! Enjoyed reading it. Your work seemed like a cure to my days!

Love it. I especially love, "I stared back up at the stars and connected the dots, making the constellations I knew." A tiny, mundane but perfect little detail.
