The quiet drone of that song reminded me of your voice today. Your fingers drew shapes on my shoulder and we whispered jokes in each others ears. That song came on the radio and you screamed it out. I still smile at the memories. I hit you to make you be quiet but you said I shouldn’t go through life worrying about what others thought. I realize now, listening to this song, that you were right, as you usually were. I wish you were back, but you said don’t wish on something you won’t try to accomplish. That one, that advice I’ve never been able to accept. I still feel your hands on my face and mine in your hair, your smile kissed on my lips. I turned up the song and belted it out, not caring who saw but wishing you were still by my side.
You are very talented. You create a complete story in so few words. I like the use of music. Songs can take us back in time to good and better places. I like the want to return to good places missed. Thank you for sharing the excellent story.

I really do appreciate you reviewing and reading so many of my stories, you've been so kind. And yes, they do. Every so often music comes on that I haven't heard since I was a little child, yet I can still sing every word. Strange how our mind works.

Bittersweet and poignant. It leaves me wondering... did he die, did he leave her, is he in the military? Love the mystery behind it.

I've missed seeing your reviews and stories, but I guess that's my fault. Need to work on my time management. I really love how you always try to find the missing piece or answer to the story, it really expands my thought about it. Usually, I just write it and slap it on here without much background or continuing thought, so thank you.
