Through The Eyes

 Through the eyes of a child,

all is well,

all is right,

all is big,

all is the right-now,

and all is new and curious,

but not all is kind.

 Through the eyes of an adult,

all is suspicious,

all is the past, the present, and the future,

all is cruel until proven safe,

all is a risk

but not all is really that way.

 Through the eyes of the elderly,

all is back then,

all is family and memories,

all is smiles and grandchildren

and the person you’ve been with for years,

all is love,

and that’s exactly how it should be.

Sorry, sorry, sorry I have not been on in ages! I have been super busy with dance and school and extra stuff! I haven't even had the time, or energy, to write anything good. Just came up with this and am posting it as a check-in. How are y'all? Thanks for reading.

I like the "adult" portion Yeah, they're always getting lost somewhere into past (in memories), in present (into infatuated days/moments) and in future (in the worry of having love that's not even ever found). Ah~What a phenomenal job you've done! Loved it!

Very nice little poem. "... all is suspicious" is so true! I'm suspicious of everything anymore. And I like "and the person you’ve been with for years, all is love," It will be 33 years this November.
