Chapter 11: Drifting

Even though you still talk pretty frequently, it's nothing compared to how it used to be. She's obviously moved on, and you know that you should too, but you just can't seem to shake her. She's always in the back of your mind, speaking in that sweet, beautiful voice. You still see her at school, you think about her everyday, but that lingering dark cloud over your head--the worry, embarrassment--is still keeping you from her. This is when you wonder, will anything ever be the same?

The school year is coming to an end--eight months of wanting and needing this girl you've only just met, coming to a close. Her senior year, your junior, but you worry: will you ever see her again? Will you continue to keep touch? But worse, what if you don't? Can you live without her? Can you survive in a world, the love of your life drifting away?
