the end of my world

the end of my world

A Poem by V M Smith

the crop circles multiplied
when the aliens came.
i died before the fire
but the rest i can explain;
there were vampires and ants
monsters teamed with the plants,
there were teeth so white
they glowed in the dark.
i tried each lighter
but couldn't get a spark.
a high pitch cut my ears.
i saw her scream
but couldn't hear,
saw her eyes pleading
but couldn't bare
the pain and noise,
the pills and toys,
more color-filled days
among bitchy little boys.
"i'm sorry" i whispered
as i fell to the floor.
"there's nowhere to hide.
i am broken this time.
don't come any closer,"
i warned as she unlocked the door
" because i've found
that the world ends
once you've been pushed
past those locking bars."

An interesting poem. It was a good read and it flowed pretty well. Overall, it was really good.
