A Rush..from the PastA Poem by Winters_Lost_Walk

Inhaling the familiar scents we left behind. Every single memory stands still Where weeds have now grown, Covering up what was left Of the ground we sat on While we played guitar And sang along. I saw us there In my mind, on the bench In my thoughts, on the swings And I heard you talk, and sing our songs On a sunny afternoon, on the grass so soft While the little black ants crawled up your trousers And in my mind, I also heard your laughter and saw your smile.
