The Meeting

Tears roll down my face...I finally saw it again

I was ecstatic and yet so scared,

That the smile I was wishing for

Won't even appear.

My heart banged through my chest,

I could hear it,

I needed to see you,

And there you were.

Happy, Smiling, Shining,

Until I came along,

SURPRISE! and get the f**k back in.

We talked, your eyes so beautiful,

Your eyes so brown and soft,

I stare, they hold me there, your eyes so powerful,

Why are we both lost?

There was this distance,

It kicked me out of existence,

To see this was consistent.

I needed to feel you,

I needed to hold you,

I needed to smell you,

I needed to touch you.

Don't cry my sweet baby,

For I am here,

And you are near.

I could have spent the night,

Looking at a smile so bright,

With you by my side,

Now back to the shadows I should hide.

I trust in God,

You know I do,

Why can't he give me,

What I can't do?

Or throw me away,

Yes, please do,

It's what I deserve,

Yes, that IS my cue.

A disappointment,

Even to You,

To him and them,

That's what I'll do.
