you linger on my tongue

you linger on my tongue

A Poem by ashley

satisfaction with my hunger,

knowing i haven't had a taste of you for a while.

i hate to acknowledge my sin,
but i miss feeding into your lustrous, begging heart.

i yearn for you to etch your violence into my soul,
i was desperate for you to prey on me,
i acted as if it was my last day alive.

conflict of command and intentions,,
what's lust and what's love,
it seemed to never matter,
at least to you.

confused rejection,
from a confession of desperation and guilt,,

miscommunication, i cant read a room,
and now i yearn for forgiveness,
a second chance.

please.

knowing that, to indulge in you,
i need to invite you into my home again,
and you will leave the door open on your way out,

as always,
knowing you'll come back,
and i will be here waiting.
