love language

love language

A Poem by ashley

to feel your bare skin against my palm,

tucked away by your shirt,

the middle of winter presses your warm skin.

i feel the goosebumps rise as your body chills underneath my touch.

only innocence can save me from you,

the wrath of lust drives fear into me,

and i rave until it's quiet.

to know you want me sweetly and gently,

is like hearing the wind humming through the air,

i could see the glow of your heart,

shining through your skin,

as your chest rose and fell underneath my fingertips.

i touch you just to be close to you,

and nothing more.

deliberate & delicate,

with intentions as pure as fine wine.

i melt into you,

our minds clearing & intertwined,

like the light that shines through the darkness.

lust is foreign,

i speak the language of love.
