to me, you're heaven

to me, you're heaven

A Poem by ashley

i can't live life without companionship,

but i hate the lingering thought of death,

and the fact that nothing lasts forever.

i knowingly sit there,

while time takes everything i love away from me.

so whisper to me your darkest secrets,

your most shameful instances,

and let me love you through all of them.

i hope the light at the end of the tunnel holds a silhouette of you,

for there is no afterlife worth living without your embrace.

i would rather die then to continue living without your embrace,

there is heaven within your arms that no hell can disturb.

and if God were to gift me eternal life,

i would simply turn it down,

for a life without you is no different then death itself.

i'd prefer having my bones broken,

one by one,

than seeing your tears falling on the ground;

my body may be repaired but your heart,

never again.

if i had to wait my entire life for your love, i would.

when i've withered away,

id be glad i got to experience heaven before i'd even reached it.
