Day Or NightA Poem by bobbyDedicated to my Friend who lost her Father this weekDay or Night That day comes In the absent light of dawn An approaching sound In a vacuum Neither being or spirit confide Gone Is the tambouring of my youth The setting sun’s melancholy bend Has rent my body, Soiled my clothes I am laid aside soft as a whisper Gently, Cold as the breath between us But still I feel your kisses And the arc of your voice Your heartbeat still trembles Beneath my skin Your face is stained in my mind’s eye Memories will replace my voice So in your ears, privately You'll hear
I love
you BB2011 © 2011 bobby |
