I Prayed

I Prayed

A Poem by bobby

I prayed ……,

As often as I said

Then

I prayed a song and fled

Where lovers often do

In bed

In the arms of their lovers

Wed

Coming from the quiet

I would

Often knowing

I was understood

My head

Leaning like a willow

Falling

Softly to my pillow

Tears

Easing my eyes to sleep

I’d yield

To a peaceful sleep

This was beautiful; cleverly and breath-takingly swept in tune with its rhymes. I enjoyed the torn stability and softness of this piece. Well done.

A beautiful piece that could be looked at in one of two ways........the poet fled to his lovers bed then to his own and knew he was understood or he merely prayed and fled to his own bed. He cried himself to sleep and yielded to the peace. I may have totally misunderstood this.......but it is a lovely piece.
