they know no true love

they know no true love

A Poem by Ben Marullo
"

the current generation doesn't know what true love is. they only think they do.

"
i look out upon the young faces of those of which i pity
not because of traits of which shown from the exterior of their so concededly assessed bodies but because the soul
the mindlessness
the loss of dignity

these people, blinded by a mere weak simulation of happiness

never knowing the path to the truth

ignorance rotes our civilization like a plague.

as if we are plugged into a system

a system of conformity and senseless wrong doing

a system of people who see the world from the outside, not in

a grid lock

I look out upon the young faces of those of which i pity
because they do not feel they see
because they do not feel they think
because they do not love the real love

these people, blinded by a mere weak simulation of happiness

they know no true love
