Stalking Monsters

What happens when you let the monster inside take you alive?

Monsters do not sleep under your bed

They sleep inside your head

They creep around and listen to your fears

Waiting for you to weep your tears.

Like a shadow, they stalk you everywhere

Although night is when they are strongest

They try to lock you inside your darkness

To unite you with insanity.

Deep inside, you know what you truly are

The monster cannot define us

We decide what to become

And shine through the shadows.

If you don't fight back, you become one of them

Please come with me tonight, we can save ourselves

The darksome beast will not stand a chance

We will not be normal, but we will be whole again.
