Hysteria

Hysteria

A Poem by Brittany Defranco
"

A poem about suicide.

"

Just one more pill, maybe taking the bottle,

A blade to numb the pain away

One cut at a time, blood seeping through,

Enough insanity to be in the asylum.

Leave a note behind,

Time to say goodbye, disappear from this world,

No one will grieve or shed a tear,

It is the hour of Death's lullaby.

Nothing but a burden upon others,

Driving into hysteria every single night,

Tired of fighting, just have to let go,

Escaping is the only option.

The moment to sleep forever has arrived,

Taking the bottle, down they go,

Weeping as a deep slumber comes

Nothing will ever be the same again.
