   I cried as I drove away,

You held me as I laughed.

 

    I couldn’t stop thinking of the way you held my hand,

Or the way you said ‘I love you.’

 

    You looked in my eyes and saw how empty I was,

I looked in yours and saw the truth.

 

    You told me how you missed me

And kissed me like you meant it.

 

   All the things you should have done
