Snow Kisses

Snow Kisses

A Story by B.M. Flowers
"

A flash fiction set in my world of Castle Dor. Fenris and his cousin Morrgahn have some fun in the snow.

"

Fenris sniffs the air he looks about himself. He can smell the person he is looking for Morrgahn is hiding and hiding well. He is not sure how much he likes that. It is winter time. There is snow on the ground. The tree's summer canopy is gone. His dark eyes search for his cousin who took after his father in ways that it was just not funny.

Fenris finds himself on his back in the snow with the object of his hunt straddling him. Morrgahn is in female form on this day. She is smirking down at him. Fenris again ponders how a red head can hide in the woods so easily. His father always managed. So does his cousin. His uncle never bothered to hide, that was just not Thor's style. You think that they be easier to spot with their flaming hair. No such luck.

Pulling himself up into sitting position. His cousin smiles at him again. Fenris captures her face in his hands. Staring intently at her. “Who would dare to sew your lips shut like Dad's?”

“Those that did it are taken care of. Dad got a little angry.” Her lop sided smile told him of the understatement of angry to describe her father. “The dwarves do not like being Lokied as they put it. I just think they forget how to use binding words. A head is a head and if you cannot get the neck to you are a sore and poor loser.”

Fenris laughs truly and his cousin smiles at him. “Morrgahn.”

She smiles at him. “Fenris.”

The two stare at each other. They knew the others did not like this connection they had. Morrgahn's uncle the father of the one who's lap she was currently sitting in liked it. Fenris knew that this connection gave his beautiful and scared cousin more control then he liked but it was better then being bound.

He never wanted to be bound like that again.

Her green eyes captured his dark ones. He stares into the eyes that tended to get him in trouble in ways he did not want to think about. He talked to his dad about what he thought. His dad agreed with his son's deduction of thought.

“You are trouble.” Fenris taps Morrgahn's nose. She leans in close brushing her nose to his. He feels snow going down the back of his shirt. He scrambles away as she laughs and runs. “Oh I am so going to get you for that!”

She runs and laughs; as he chases her for a short bit before seizing his moment and tackles her into the snow. They roll until he pins her under his greater weight. He could not even say it was his strength that won for her strength was close to his.

He smirks down at her. She looks up at him worried about what ever is going on in his eyes. Fenris decides to press his lips to his cousin's. His hand comes around to hold the back of her head in place as they kiss. She seems to melt to him. Their hearts race as they kiss in the snow.
