Friendship Found at the Spookiest of Places

This ones for you Sarah!

"Why did I listen to those kids and come here?" Sarah thought aloud as she franticly Searched for a new exit, due to the fact that the main entrance decided to shut and lock itself, trapping the poor trainer inside. After failing to find another way out of the abandoned, unkept mansion Sarah chose to accomplish what she came to this sadly spooky place for, to catch ghost pokemon. 

When Sarah's hand reached down to her belt to retrieve one of her beloved pokemon's Pokeballs however, instead of feeling the firm orb she was expecting, her hand only felt the fabric of her skirt.

"ACH WHERES MY BELT WITH ALL MY POKEMON???" Sarah screamed as she rapidly looked for the missing article of clothing. Her belt was no where in sight, and after all her fear and anxiety settled Sarah realized with a growl of her stomach how hungry she was. 

It appeared that someone or something else heard her stomach's distress call as well, and was slowly making their way to the terrified teen. When a flash zipped passed the corner of her eye Sarah couldn't stop herself from letting loose a shriek and crumbling to the floor.

"I-is a-any-anyone there???" The trembling trainer called out, but was really hoping no one replied. At one point Sarah realized she had closed her eyes, and when she raised her eyelids she immediately wished she had not. In front of her was ironically one of the ghost pokemon she wanted to find, but not without her pokemon to help.

The dark purple, floating orb, with lighter fog surrounding itself known as gastly stared straight back at her, with a sinister grin plastered across its face.

Thinking that this was the end Sarah covered her face with her hands and waited for the gruesome gastly to strike. Nothing happened though, and when she spared a glance she was amazed at the scene before her. The over confident gastly she saw was now cowering before a large ball of eye stinging, bright lightning slowly approaching it. The ghost pokemon quickly fled through the floorboards and away from the lightning ball.

Once the gastly had left, the lightning dimmed to a stop, and the form that was left had Sarah in awe. It was the most unique and adorable pikachu The trainer had ever seen. It's fur was such a light shade of yellow that in certain light people would call it white, and its eyes were a piercing shade of ruby red, a color she had yet to see any pikachu have. What more as the mouse pokemon crawled towards her it dropped her belt and her pokeballs where she sat.

Slowly and cautiously Sarah reached her hand out to the pikachu, and to her delight it let her pet it and actually went closer to cuddle her lap. Giggling at it's loving behavior Sarah picked it up and held it at eye level.

"Would you like to come with me and be my pokemon?" Sarah asked with hope laced through her words. With a cheerful "PIKA" and a cuddle to her cheek. Taking that as a yes Sarah laughed and stood up with the pokemon still in her arms.

Heading towards the door she cheered as it opened with the turn of the handle. Leaving the mansion Sarah put her newest addition down and quickly scanned it with her pokedex. Now knowing that her new friend was a boy Sarah thought of what to name him. All of a sudden the light of creativity popped above her head.

"I'll call you Spirit!" Sarah said. Spirit apparently like his new name and launched itself into her arms. Laughing at her hug-loving pikachu Sarah decided that the big spooky mansion wasn't so bad if she found such a wonderful friend.
