I Miss You

I Miss You

A Poem by Brittney Maxwell
"

moving on from relationships are hard, especially when it was with someone who you spent a long time with.

"
I Miss You

I miss your soft kisses
deep brown eyes
prickly hairs on your face
that gap between your teeth

You hurt me to the core
unforgivable, a sin
Chose her over me
after four long years

I miss those long lashes
that laugh, can't catch your breath
 long deep chats
I was your go to girl

You chose to walk away
to hurt me in every way possible
Left me in tears on my birthday
but I still miss you

You shared my soul
you kept my heart
and you took my purity

And you will hold my heart forever

The pains of heartache are everlasting and while time heals a wound of the flesh it can do not but barely quiet a wound of the heart. Your words are filled with disappointment and longing. Very well written.
