You Don't Care

You Don't Care

A Poem by Brandon Mathis
"

This is a poem about my dad enough said read the poem

"

You could break my heart

You wouldn’t even know

I don’t think you care

How much that you are

It’s too much for me to bare

You are just plain cold

To this unknown world

You walk right past me

As if you don’t notice me

What do I have to do?

To prove to you

That I will always love you

When you won’t let me get too close

Into the world that you live in so cold

You think of my heart

As light as a feather

But I still try to keep us together

Even though we are worlds apart

There’s no light at the end

This hole is so dark

Where should I begin?

I am falling, crawling

I am dying, crying

In those eyes you don’t care

I am drowning and so scared

And I don’t think you’re ever going to care

he is so so close to me but so far away from the emotions that he puts in my heart
Such feeling. Hopefully your dad will come around, one day. Life is too short to be so cold or bare grudges. Amazing poem all the same.
