Traitor

Traitor

A Poem by Brandon Mathis

Please tell me the truth

I don’t know how you can abuse

What you see straight through

You just roll your eyes

When i tell you that I love you

There’s no easier way to make me die

I hope that it made you feel so alive

But everything is about to change

I’m going to step up and walk away

And if this is the end

Then I don’t know where we even began

And you whisper you’re not a man

With your new lies begin it all again

You tell me that I am a traitor

And I start to believe that I do hate her

When all the blame falls on me

I hope you are the one that bleeds

All I ever wanted was to be some body

I guess my truth takes a little time to find

After all the lights go down

You are still a part of me

All around me

You were the one that I could die for

Now I don’t love you anymore
