Fade Away

A poem of 2 people that slowly fade apart

What do I do?
When you walk away from me
how can I breathe?
When you take everything from me that was true
I think my hearts beating
how can I tell?
When it feels like I’m in hell

Everywhere I go seems to be the wrong way
you were the guide in my life
now you have faded away
since you have left it slowed down time
I’m so dark now that you took my light
I wish I could see your face
one more time
before I begin to fade away

I wish that you wouldn’t go
when you’re gone I feel like there’s no hope
you took my soul now I feel so alone
my world starts to get cold
I wish that I could just let go

I’m trying to find my way
things won’t ever be the same
ever since you have faded away
I know I’m the one to blame
I’ll live with the shame even after I fade away
