Holding My Ashes

Holding My Ashes

A Poem by Brandon Mathis

Eveytime I see your face

I think of where we would be today

that winter when you whispered

I love you and I want you till the end

Tragedy strikes the door

as you tell me you don’t love me no more

I miss you and it makes me so sore

you left my heart pounding on the floor

When your not with me

my ever word bleeds

a crack in the concrete

cause tonight im incomplete

the simple things you don’t see

so please bring me back my pieces

My life lies horizontal

as my words crash

I lay dead holding my ashes

ive subtracted to no love ive added

how could this all happen?

I lost everthing in you I had
